Bio
I have been a songwriter for 25 years, but placed motherhood first. Recently I discovered an interest in recording and the process. Working with noted Grammy nominated songwriter and Producer Larry Dvoskin, I have written or co-written songs in a variety of styles ranging from "Like Picasso", an artistic, lyrically creative Pop/Rock song with a driving beat to "Hardware", an earthy, soulful Pop/Bluesy number. Influences and favorites include Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill, Gretchen Wilson, Martina McBride, Sara Evans and Josh Groban.
My newest song "Like Picasso" has received high marks and numerous recognitions from the music industry. It was a finalist in The Great American Song Contest as well as a finalist in The Song of the Year. It was forwarded numerous times by TAXI and was selected for use at a SPONY Songwriter Pitch-A-Thon in NYC. It was also offered a License to be included on a compilation CD to be released during the summer of 2008, but was declined in an attempt to receive a cut by an artist.
I am totally enjoying the journey of networking with people in the industry, attending classes, workshops, luncheons, dinners, rally's, conferences and Gala's, as I am patiently pay my dues, waiting for my turn.
