Juke is a mixture of Alternative, Rock, and a little Funk, all with a jam band attitude. They are heavily influenced by Umphrey's McGee, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Phish, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Juke, a trio once again as of spring 2007, is an Alternative Rock band hailing from the Metro Detroit Area. Their sound is a mixture of Alternative, and Classic Rock with a little bit of Funk and Experimental added in, all with a Jam Band attitude. They are influenced by a wide variety of bands ranging from Radiohead, to The Beatles, to Umphrey's McGee, to Beck, as well as many others. Their sound incorporates many different genres, but at their heart they still retain their Rock/ Jam Band spirit. They are currently in the studio once again recording another EP which will be available in the next few weeks. You can preview two of the songs off of their upcoming CD here, on their sonicbids.com profile in the player above, and also on their main website, jukerocks.com (The songs are Spare Change and Ride On).

Born and bred in and around Metro Detroit, Juke always stays true to their roots, playing in venues such as the Magic Stick, Small’s Bar, The Emerald Theater, and even the Warped Tour in 2006.

They enjoy mixing genres and crossing over borders. Their studio works tend to get a lot of work put into them. It is not uncommon for each band member to play two instruments a piece on a single track. However, for their live sets they like to break it down and let their go to instruments do all the work, which is where they let their Jam Band influences show through.

All three members of the band have been friends since the early years of elementary school. They have three different creative minds but when they all come together on stage or in the practice studio, their long friendship allows them to bounce ides off each other and come up with new and interesting combinations of sound, style, and technique.

Now in their college years the band is experimenting with new sounds every day and constantly coming out with new original works. They are a very hard working band but they also know how to have fun. They are very appreciative of everybody who has helped them along the way, and they show no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Set List

We usually do 30-60 minute sets with anywhere from 5-15 songs, but since we like to jam we'll work with whatever amount of time we're given. Obviously the longer the better. We do covers on occasion, but we mostly stick to our originals.

We really mix up our sets to try to give audiences a different experience every time.
At the moment we're sticking to the songs written during and after spring '07 (the top section).
Our setlists change according to the gig and atmosphere as well.

For a 30min. set we'll usually do 5-10 songs from the list.
