Jules in His Crown

Jules in His Crown

BandChristianSinger/Songwriter

Basically, this music thing has nothing to do with me. The music comes from the One who created music-God. He just keeps on giving me music, so I just keep on singing and playing it. He has already used this music to touch lives, and I know He will continue to.

Biography

I grew up listening to Larry Norman and Keith Greene as a child. But my music has taken shape more in the last year. People who I love listening to are Jennifer Knapp, Bethany Dillon, Michael W. Smith, The Fray, and Barlow Girls. The thing that sets my music apart from others, is it is all based upon things I have experienced or a loved one of mine has experienced in life. The bottom line is, it talks about how great our God is and the hope and strength He can provide.

Wounded Warrior

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

And here I sit/ at Your feet
I'm waiting for/ Your sweet relief
I know I've done/ all that I can
So help me leave/ this in Your hand

'Cause I try to do it all on my own strength/ and I try to fix it/ but instead it just breaks, even more

So take these broken pieces/ and make something beautiful
And take all these problems/ and rearrange them all
Take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior

That choice you made/ so long ago
To never go back to this world's road
And all those people/ you felt like you let down
Are still as critical of the life that you lead now

But to gain the whole world/ and forfeit your soul
Would be like living life/ in a glass bowl, that shattered

So take these broken pieces/ and make something beautiful
And take all these problems/ and rearrange them all
Take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior

The pressures build/ up in this life
To look all perfect/ in the light
To live up to the mold/ of those who've gone ahead
And never make/ a wrong move instead

But you can't give and give/ forever from within
Without linking to The Source/ eventually some thing's gotta give, and break

So take these broken pieces/ and make something beautiful
And take all these problems/ and rearrange them all
Take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior/ take this wounded warrior

And as I step/ up to the battle zone
I try to fight the fight/ without casting that first stone
But as I just/ get shot down
I cry out to You as my knees hit the ground

'Cause the battle keeps going/ on and on
So I'll just keep singing my battle song/ and again I break

So take these broken pieces/ and make something beautiful
And take all these problems/ and rearrange them all
Take this wounded warrior/ mold this wounded warrior/ and heal this wounded warrior

Everything

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

I long to bring You everything/ I lay it all before You, My King
That every passion in my heart/ would forever start, with You, My King

I long to know you/ but I've such a small point of view/
Please show me how to see

The things that I once clung to/ are empty in comparison to/
Your boundless love, and Your grace

And I long to bring You everything/ I lay it all before You, My King
That every passion in this heart/ would forever start, with You, My King

The things that I once clung to/ the thoughts I try to keep from You
It amazes me You still call me Your child

And Lord, I want to chase after You/ like You've chased after me
You continue to pursue my life

And I long to bring You everything/ I lay it all before You, My King
That every passion in my heart/ would forever start, with You, My King/ You are My King

And I long to bring You everything/ I lay it all before You, My King
That every passion in my heart/ would forever start, with You, My King

Bring Her Back

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

And I see her cry/ and I'm broken inside/ as I watch her fall to the ground
And she struggles so/ and doesn't want us to know/ that she's lost and needs to be found

So I cry out to you to save her
'Cause she needs your healing touch
'Cause she's strayed so far from your embrace, now
So bring her back to your arms

She grew up in a pew/ and she's always known of you/ but her heart has strayed far off

And she's seen your face/ and she's felt your grace/ but this sin has got her caught

So I cry out to you to save her
'Cause she needs your healing touch
'Cause she's strayed so far from Your embrace now
So bring her back to Your arms

I see myself in her life/ 'Cause I too have gone out of sight/ and I've let those little sins in

And I feel as though I'm trapped/ and stranded in the back/ of this boat with no compass

So I cry out to you to save me
'Cause I need Your healing touch
'Cause I've strayed so far from Your embrace, now
So bring me back to Your arms
Yeah, bring me back to Your arms
So, bring me back to Your arms

And I cry out to You to save us
'Cause we need Your healing touch
'Cause we've strayed so far from Your embrace, now
So bring us back to Your arms

Beauty in My eyes

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

And through the rain
And through the thunder, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

And in the fight
And the fire, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

Before your birth I knew your name
Set you apart just the same
Appointed you as a prophet to the nations

And you obeyed my command
To be ready and to stand
Up against the opposition of the people

And through the rain
And through the thunder, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

And in the fight
And the fire, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

The battle was won long ago
But still you're fighting for their souls
This battle only leaves you weary and in despair

One day scars will replace those wounds
And those experiences will bloom
The past is only preparation for the future

And through the rain
And through the thunder, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

And in the fight
And the fire, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

And you will not be overcome
For I am with you above
I've made you a strong tower, a bronze wall to stand

And though the battle takes its tole
My rain will heal your wounded soul
Those ugly scars show beauty in My eyes

And in the rain
And through the thunder, and the pain
There's beauty in My eyes

And in the fight
And the fire, and the pain
There's still beauty in My eyes

How will they know?

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

Chorus:
And how will they know?
If I don't go/ And show/ Jesus' love?

And how will they see?
If they don't see me/ giving/ Jesus' love?

Verse 1:
We were born worlds apart
Right from the start/ they had nothing/ and I had more than I could ever need
And while I was playing Nintendo/ and watching TV/ they were wondering when they would next eat

Chorus:
And how will they know?
If I don't go/ And show/ Jesus' love?

And how will they see?
If they don't see me/ giving/ Jesus' love?

Verse 2:
He came to be a father for the fatherless
An advocate for the widow/ a family for the lonely
And while I am young and just a child/ He has called me to provide for those in need/ the least of these

Chorus:
And how will they know?
If I don't go/ And show/ Jesus' love?

And how will they see?
If they don't see me/ giving/ Jesus' love?

Verse 3:
There are a million of excuses why I can't
My father died/ my car payment is due/ I have to pay my rent
But to follow God/ means to seek His kingdom first/ leave the worries of this world behind/ take up my cross/ and Follow His lead

Chorus:
And how will they know?
If I don't go/ And show/ Jesus' love?

And how will they see?
If they don't see me/ giving/ Jesus' love?
How will they know?

Bridge:
And to whom much is given/ much is required
So may the pattern of my giving be God inspired
And to whom much is given/ much is required
So may the pattern of my giving be God inspired

Chorus:
Because how will they know?
If I don't go/ And show/ Jesus' love?

And how will they see?
If they don't see me/ giving/ Jesus' love?
How will they know?
How will they know?

May Your Praise Fill This Place

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

Verse 1:
I'm so far away from home, but I know You've never left my side
And I feel so out of reach, but I know Your arm is boundless
And I'm barely haning on, but Your grip of Grace is unfailing
And all that is within me needs to thank You

Chorus:
So may Your praise fill this place
May Your praise this thankful heart
May everything in my life be filled with praise for You my Lord, my Saviour, my King
My closest Friend, You are my closest friend

Verse 2:
And I want to know You more, and I see You smiling down on me
You've brought me safe thus far, and I know You'll never give up on me
Through all my human failings, and the battle I suit up for everyday
All that is within me needs to praise Your name, just the same

Chorus:

Verse 3:
And as I wake up each new day, and Your grace surrounds me
The contentment in my heart, is far from happiness that is so fleeting
And as I continue walking, this path You've destined for me
May everything in my life be filled with praise for You, my King

Chorus x 2

Life's Just Begun

Written By: Julia Christine Bock

And why does life have to end this way? 'Cause it seems like just yesterday, that we were all children that played. But, those times are over now, and I could be wrong about it somehow... but
(Chorus)
One day we'll all dance, as they're dancing now, amidst thousands of angels all around before Your throne.

Because life's not over now. It's really not over now.
And Life is like a rose. We live and we bloom and we grow. And we scatter seeds to be sown all over the world, that Your truth may be known all over the world... and
(chorus)
And at times we wish we could take their place, and finally see You face to face. But, we find ourselves here as we wait. 'Cause we know that You still have a plan for us here--Your presence and words have made that clear... and
(chorus)
And why does life have to end this way? We find ourselves gathered here today just to rejoice and to pray! Because, life's not over now, it's really not over now--in fact it's just begun! So may Your praises forever be sung! Because it's not over... Because Life's not over...

Discography

I have not been given the opportunity to really perform anywhere before. I just got finished with recording my first cd, however. It's a homemade recording but has been so rewarding. Even if no one listens to it, I somehow feel complete after getting the emotions and passions in my heart out. And bottom line is, my first and foremost audience is God. If you would like to receive a CD, please e-mail me at bock6389@yahoo.com to request it.
