Bio
Jules Peet's passion for guitar playing began at the age of 12 after being inspired by listening to the classic Rock, Soul and Blues artists of the 60's and 70's.
At 15 he was accepted into WAAPA studying Jazz and Contemporary Music.
For the last seven years Jules has been playing live around Western Australia at festivals (West Coast Blues & Roots/Southbound) and International festivals in Singapore and Malaysia. His love for playing music sent him to America, where he played in Blues and Jazz clubs from Chicago down to New Orleans.
In recent months Jules has been writing, playing and recording in Perth with his new band, The Jules Peet Trio, in which he sings and plays unique open tuning electric slide guitar.
Other members include talented musicians Byrn Stanford (The Sneaky Weasel Gang) on drums and Gordo Cant (The Amani Consort & The China Blue Experiment) on organ. More recently Jules has started to work with Melbourne based Jazz/Soul vocalist, Georgia Van-Etten, in a guitar/vocal duo.
