Julia Gannon

Julia Gannon has a mixed heritage - Ghana on the west coast of Africa, and Switzerland, in the heart of Europe. Julia has been singing ever since she can remember. She believes that her musical ability is a gift from God and her desire is to give it back to him in whatever way she can... Over the years she has lived in different countries (Ghana, Switzerland, England, Austria, and Canada) and has always been serious about her involvement in the music ministry of her church wherever she's been - singing in the choir, leading the choir, playing an instrument, singing solos, leading worship... etc. She enjoys writing songs. Her style is a blend of R&B and jazz... but the lyrics are all about her walk with Christ... The themes vary - from worship, to reflections on her relationship with God, to evangelistic messages..... but a commonly recurring theme in her songwriting is the absolutely desperate need we have for God's presence in our daily lives. That is the theme of her first album, "No place like here" ("Here" being a reference to the presence of God). There really is no place like here!
