"JULIA WADE: Story For The Ages"

Story For The Ages” is a musical rendition of the teachings of Christ from “The Coming” through the Resurrection. Soprano JULIA WADE takes you on that inspirational journey with a voice so clear and pure there’s no room for doubt about her belief in the message and its source. You will go from the traditional “Were You There” and the quiet African-American spiritual “There’s A Balm In Gilead” which builds to a resounding celebration to the Irish lilt of “Be Thou My Vision” and the Spanish drama of “Tenemos Esperanza/We Have Hope” made even more dramatic with lyrics by musical genius Peter Link.
There are songs for all seasons and beliefs, and Wade’s amazing voice deftly handles the diverse styles. The Appalachian carol “Jesus, Jesus Rest Your Head” is haunting in its simplicity while “The Palms” (words and lyrics by Link) is simultaneously heart-wrenching and hopeful. But by far the masterpieces of the album are Link’s “Lazarus” and “Song Of Easter,” two powerful songs that will elevate your spirit and confirm the wonders of the universe. So if you like your traditional religious music set to creative arrangements and enhanced with international cultural flair, JULIA WADE’s “Story For The Ages” is just what you’ve been looking for. You can purchase and download the CD at www.watchfiremusic.com."

This is a totally amazing CD!!! Julia Wade and Peter Link have outdone themselves this time. So much love and care has obviously gone into this project and you can hear it in every note. I can't wait for their next CD!!!

No home should be without these two things. A Bible and Julia Wade's new CD "Story for the Ages. If I were a doctor I would prescribe this record for anyone with stress, high blood pressure or in plain language, the misery.
Ms. Wade has a way of transporting us to a higher plane, but there is nothing plain about her singing. She has the voice of an angel. This record will get played over and over.

This is a CD I'm going to treasure for years to come. There is so much beauty, soul and love expressed in each lyric and note. I love the mixture of songs with choirs, guitar music (especially the guitar music!), and harp. Thank you for sharing your gift again with listeners everywhere!

"UPON THE MOUNTAIN"

Thank you so much for a gorgeous album. Upon the Mountain is transcendental, enchanting, exquisite! Julia your artistry, your voice, your diction, all wonderful. Peter, your compositions are beautiful, thought-provoking, inspiring.

Upon The Mountain was a delight to listen to… There’s a relaxed, conversational style in many of the songs which I find very effective. And Julia’s “classical” chops are used sparingly but also very effectively. Peter’s sensitive arrangements perfectly complement Julia’s more relaxed and mature presentation…and her interpretations enhance his compositions.

The first word that comes to my mind, when listening to Julia & Peter's music, is simply, beautiful. Then others quickly follow -- emotive, expressive, and celebrating the divine in a way that provides a deeply transforming journey to the listener.

I was listening to your beautiful CD, “Upon The Mountain”. I enjoyed a lot Julia’s vocal qualities in this recording; as well as the refined production that Peter did of his own compositions. Among them, I have chosen “Who Rolled The Stone”, “Isaiah 40”, and “Break Forth Into Joy”, as my favorite songs from this CD. (Nonetheless, I value the song, “Upon The Mountain”, as something good within its genre). If my words are evaluated in this matter, keep them as a testimony of my sincere appreciation towards you. Congratulations to both!

It all "works": the wonderful lyrics, the rich, inspired singing, the supportive singers and certainly the spiritual, healing "spine" that unites all the elements so well. Congratulations. It took me a few times listening before I realized I'd never heard the lyrics... all original efforts. Wow. Excellent. I really enjoyed "Who Rolled the Stone" and was delighted that you included a Chinese violin in "Upon the Mountain." I first heard the violin years ago when I visited the Bejing Symphony during a rehearsal and love the mysterious quality of it… Thanks for giving the world such love and joy!

Well what a trip, folks! Stirring, exciting, evolved, crisp, elegant, Big-Thinking!

Aside from the fact that her voice is lovely and the music is so good, Julia enunciates so that you can understand the words. That is something I can't seem to do when I listen to much of the current music. It seems as though most singers do not know how to sing so that you can understand them. On the other hand, perhaps they don't have much to say, so it really doesn't matter. I particularly liked "A Hole in My Life" and "Who Rolled the Stone."

"Julia 's Television Appearance on"

Reviews from TV Viewers:

"Being Present" Show helped me be more so!

SPECIAL THANKS for the segment with Watchfire Music Artist Julia Wade. Her ideas on staying present enough to be a clear window for what the Divine is doing raises the bar for all of us. And how intelligent is her practice of "Stillness Moments" throughout the day as a way to reignite that high goal! My only disappointment was that her music clip ("A Hole in My Life") was waaay too short. I hope she will be invited back in the near future so this error can be corrected!

I'm a longtime fan of Julia Wade and am glad you guys had her on TV - her voice floors me every time - but I'd never really gotten to hear her speak so much since I only have her CD. It made me like her even more! Thanks for the opportunity. - http://www.newmorningtv.tv/
