Bio
Julie core members Nathan Blumenfeld-James, Dustin Bath and Grey Melcher have been writing songs and playing music together since they were 15. In 2005 they recruited drummer Nissim Ahron to craft the sound of Julie. The result of this collaboration is a band that is fiercely independent with their music.
Julie’s live shows are exhilarating. Nathan’s vocal stylings have been compared to Jeff Buckley and Morrissey and his performance is reminiscent of late 70s punk rock front men. Nissim’s hard hitting yet smooth style combined with Grey’s greasy bass lines and Dustin’s insightful guitar hooks, helps propel Julie into unexpected musical territory.
