"Former Veterinarian Lights Up Stage"

"Julie Clark gave as much loving care to her audience last night as she did when she cared for her patients as a veterinarian. She told stories before each song that set the stage for either laughter or tears. There was not a dry eye in the crowd of 100 when she ended her set with the song "Peace Be To Us". Audience participants waited in a line for almost an hour after the show in order to give Julie a hug and thank her for her inspiring music and stories." - Camarillo Daily News

"Local Artist Draws Fans"

Julie Clark has truly brought Thursday nights to life in the Mission District. Ever since she began her weekly 2 hour shows 6 months ago, the cafe has seen the same fans come again and again bringing their friends in tow. Her easy interaction with the audience makes for a comfortable atmosphere where there is much back and forth banter. We are going to miss her when she moves to Nashville next month in order to follow her musical dreams. We won't forget her and we will look forward to her playing for us whenever she visits SF. - Gabriella, owner of L's Cafe, San Francisco

"Julie Clark's As Sweet As Apples"

Last Sunday, the orchard was in bloom and the area was full of bird sounds, bees buzzing and
the beautiful melodies and voice of Julie Kay Clark. As word of mouth spread from the family of Babetta Francis who is a cousin to Julie, an enthusiastic crowd gathered in the sunroom. Throughout the hour long performance, one could hear the murmurs of emotional reaction from unrestrained laughter at the song "Big Bellied Man" to the sobbing of Babetta when Julie sang the song "The Master and the Dog". Julie's lyrics are like poetry and yet are so real to those of us who have shared similar experiences in our lives. One audience member said to me, "Are you listening to her words? They are amazing!" We will be looking forward to Julie's tour next year. Bravo! - Arrington Orchard News, Eureka, Ca

Bio

Julie's music has a maturity and depth that is influenced by her 22 years as a veterinarian, a mother of twins and a survivior of two marriages! Born in Texas, she enjoyed the influence of folk, country and rock 'n roll Texas style! All this culminated in 2002 when she sold her veterinary clinic and home in southern california in order to follow her dream of being a singer/songwriter. Studying with great teachers such as Jai Josefs, Raz Kennedy, Susie Davis, Bonnie Hayes and Steve Seskin gave her music and lyrics some strong legs on which to stand. The whole point of Julie's music is to comfort and inspire through laughter and tears.
