Bio

Alice Springs-based country gospel singer/songwriter Julie McAllan is an internationally-acclaimed multi-award winner who was born in country South-East Queensland. She has performed to audiences throughout Australia and parts of the U.S.A.

Julie scooped a string of accolades in 2005, including the Australian Gospel Music Award’s Best Australiana Gospel Song 2005 for “Living In The Alice” and semi-finalist in the 2006 TSA National Country Songwriting Contest with “God Bless the Farmers”. "Bring Me Home" was a finalist in the 2007 TSA Awards. All songs are from her latest album, “Bring Me Home”, produced by Peter Shurley. "Bring Me Home" also won the 2006 Hardrush Independent Music Award for the Best Country Album.

Her music has been aired on radio Australia-wide as well as Texas, Nashville, Washington State, Canada, New Zealand and Vanuatu. Julie’s great love for the Australian outback, the courage of its people and the beauty of its landscape are captured in her music, imparting a sense of identity and hope to her audiences.

Julie also writes songs and jingles for Imparja Television and their children’s icon, Yamba the Honeyant. These indigenous educational songs reach communities throughout most of Australia.
