Bio

Juli Fábián, leader of the group, singer, lyrics, songwriter. Experimentally improvisative, impulsive, a black voiced, blue-eyed blonde, is the promise of Hungarian music life. After graduating from the Jazz Faculty of Hungarian Music Academy she appeared in such internationally well-known formations as Just In Time, Eric Sumo Band, Barabás Lõrinc Eklektric, Juli Fábián & Péter Sárik Duo, is a regular performer in István Gyárfás Trio, Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Freestyle Chamber Orchestra, János Nagy Trio, István Regõs Trio, Talamba and many others. Juli also appears in live-acts and improvisational nights together with many musicians and DJs which is a true expression of her openness and the genuinely natural nature of her performance. She was in the finals of Montreaux Jazz Voice Competition in 2007 and 2008 and taught jazz singing at János Kodolányi College.

Péter Sárik, keyboard-player, songwriter. Sárik is an internationally acknowledged, many-sided musician. Along with Jazzpression he won Emerton-prize in 2004 as “Musical group of the year“. Péter worked together with Péter Gerendás and Tamás Berki, performed with Cotton Club Singers and a great many of other formations.He founded his own trio in 2007, was several times a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, winning third prize in both “Jazz“ and "People's Voice' categories in 2009. In 2008 he won special “Best soloist“ award in song-writing contest of Jazzy Radio.

Fodo, percussion, drums, song writer, mixing and mastering. He is a composer with two Platinum Records and two Gold Records, also arranger, composer and musical producer of EZTER project and Azuma Clan formation. In 2008 he debuted as sound-track composer for films. He participated in full-stadium concerts together with Charlie and Hungarian supergroup LGT. He played for a host of bands including Jazzpression, Freeport, Ágens, Péter Gerendás and Gábor Presser. At present he is a regular performer with musicians János Bródy, Nikola Parov, Erika Marozsán, Gábor Juhász, Árpád Oláh Tzumo, and Judit Halász. His compositions can be tracked in albums of Azuma Clan, Judit Halász, György Martonosi, Eszter Bíró Quintet and EZTER.

Péter Papesch, bass guitar. Sophisticated and open-minded musician as he is, Papesch is a popular guest in almost all musical genres. He proved his talent by both European and overseas tours with Kaltenecker Trio (Europe, Japan) and EZTER (Spain). He is the most seeked young bass player in Hungary. Péter regularly plays with Péter Gerendás and Gábor Presser, also performs in Gábor Juhász Trio, Talamba, Hungarian Atom of Tibor Tátrai and Árpád Oláh Tzumo Band. His own formations are Kaltenecker Trio, EZTER, Electric Jazz Force, European Mantra and Azuma Clan.

Ákos Csejtey, saxophones and flute. Along with Aladár Pege, Csejtey played with Dave Liedman, Peter Erskine, Bob Nintzer, Ray Anderson, George Duke, Johnny Griffin. He graduated from the Jazz Faculty of Hungarian Music Academy in 1992. He performed in most of the prestigious European festivals (Cannes, Montreux, Lugano, Wiesen etc.) He is part of a great number of Hungarian formations such as Jazz + Az, Gangsta Zolee Band, was recording albums with Aladár Pege, Gábor Presser, TNT, Csaba Tûzkõ Septet as well as being a session-musician in a great many of other albums. Csejtey is one of the founders of Budapest Jazz Orchestra. He appeared as a classical performer in 2004 album of Péter Eötvös, winning Cannes Festival. He played and arranged music in films of Miklós Jancsó and Attila Árpa, and was a regular player and arranger of Disney Studio. Ákos has been a teacher of Kõbánya Music Secondary School since 2000.
