Lyrics

a tribute to Barry Bonds

Written By: Julio and the Homers ( George Murillo)

Chorus-
Hey Hey! Barry Bonds! when he hits That ball it sure is gone.
Another homer sails away,
in the frigid waters of the Frisco bay.

V1- Said he didn't know when he used the creme,
but his muscles got big and his fans did scream.
Head like a melon but thats o.k.
'Cause they pay him big money to stay that way.

V2- In left field on a sunny day
a line drive lands three feet away.
It shoulda been caught
an shoulda been an out...
And I paid good money to watch him pout ??!

V3- A mighty swing and a towering shot,
So he stands at the plate and then starts to trot.
But the ball lands short and stays in the park,
Ding dong it! a single?? why don't he run??

V4- In the locker room in his easy chair,
he's got lots of money but got no hair.
He's all alone and we don't know why.
Maybe it's 'cause he just is shy?

Chorus-

the Last Flight of 756

Written By: George Murillo

On a cool pacific evening in the month after July
Seven fifty six was headed for that cold and lonely sky.
It was swatted by the hero in the ballpark by the bay
His bruises were inflicted by Barry Bonds that day.

Oh it's a beautiful, beautiful field below,
Heaven bound oh he wished he could be
But he's destined to be sold there on E-Bay
Happy landings number seven fifty six

Unlucky was the pitcher, destined for obscurity
to throw a three-two fastballl, just above the knees
As the batter swings his lumber, the poor ball starts to shake,
But now it's curtains for it as he sees the Golden Gate

Chorus

His short lifetime flashed before him as his journey neared it's end
The crowds below were cheering as he traveled with the winds
Now the ruckus and commotion down there in centerfield
Greedy hands all reaching skyward dreaming of that money deal.

Chorus

The announcer wildly screaming, that this one's outta here!
As the hero smugly trotted round the bases on that day
If he cheated doesn't matter, for his records here to stay
What's important is the fact that this ball can always say...

Oh it's a beautiful, beautiful field below
Heaven bound of I wished I could be
But I'm destined to be sold there on E-Bay
And I'll end up as some rich guy's souvenior

Oh it's a beautiful, beautiful field below
Heaven bound oh I wished I could be
Happy Landings to you most famous baseball
We'll miss you number seven fifty six
We'll miss you number seven fifty six
