Julio A. Ortiz is a musical artist/singer-songwriter from southwest USA, El Paso, TX. Living on the bordertown home to one of largest US military bases, there was a lot of diversity to harvest, both socially and musically. Originally of spanish speaking origin, Ortiz fuses latin flavors (flamenco, bossa nova and son) with tradional American folk, blues and pop, and does so effortlessly. A graduate of The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Tempe, AZ, Julio has certified experience of songs sound from it's concept to its mastering. Julio Ortiz has recorded and composed at the renowned Jimi Hendix' Electric Lady Studios in NY. The catalog of original songs that Ortiz lays claim to is immense for his young years, and the maturity of the music is amazing. An old soul, always a smile, and if you look in his eyes, there is always the sparkle of creation occuring. Julio A. Ortiz is rich with musical talent, but more so, blessed with the ability to empathize and interpret the emotions of the world.
