Bio
The Julius Airwave
THE ROUTINE INTRO:
At the moment we are finishing our newest album titled "The City, The Forest". Recorded in studios, bedrooms, living rooms, night clubs and a green shed -this has been a two year musical project and learning experience -to date. "The City, The Forest" was produced and mostly engineered by yours truly (Richard Colado). With various gear ranging from the cheapest yard-sale mics and busted processors to beautiful gear that alone costs more then this small house which I call home.
GENERIC DESCRIPTION:
There are five members in The Julius Airwave, all five being friends from Jacksonville, Florida. Mostly, we've played extensively in our region -the Southeastern United States gaining large crowds and positive "press". Although we've been fortunate enough to play such venues as Stubbs in Austin, TX and Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco to name a few -this coming year holds a strong & consistant tour schedule which is a long-time coming for us kids in The Julius Airwave.
THE "HEY! LOOK AT OUR INFLUENCES" SECTION:
Our musical influences involve early 90's indie rock heroes such as Archers of Loaf, Polvo, Neutral Milk Hotel, Superchunk, etc. to likes of The Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Yann Teirsen and Nobua Uwamatsu. More so than music --our music has been influenced by our families and every day life.
