Bio

Jump Moon is an alternative, punk-revival Canadian rock band based out of Oakville, Ontario. Currently, the four-piece band consists of Nick Bellingshausen (singer),  Mourad Iskander (drummer), Erick Chavez (guitarist) and Gabriel Moor (bassist). Their overall sound is heavily influenced by iconic bands such as Muse, Green day, Coldplay, Billy Talent, Arctic Monkeys and many more in the rock genre.

The band was created in 2016 by Mourad (drums), Dimo (Singer/bass) and Pierre (Guitars). Together they began their musical journey by composing and self-producing a six-song EP titled “Broken Dreams”. The EP did not see much success since the band dismantled shortly after. In 2017, Erick Chavez joined the band and filled in as the guitarist for the composition of Jump Moon’s next major project. In 2018, the three-piece band released their first full-length studio album titled “Paranormal Activity”, produced, mixed and mastered by Ryan Switzer at Massive Tank Studios. Unfortunately, the band suffered another departure from front-man Dimo due to personal reasons. Shortly after, the remainders of the group found a substitution, Nick Bellingshausen, as the new face of Jump Moon, as well as Gabriel Moor to fill in the position as bassist. A year after

The album saw local success across the GTA, and opened up various opportunities for the newly assembled four-piece group. Jump Moon got to play at iconic venues such as “Smiling Buddha” (Toronto), “The Moonshine Cafe” (Oakville), “Adelaide Hall” (Toronto), amongst many others. They also had the opportunity to share the stage with successful bands at Brantford’s famous “Blackout Fest”,  such as Calling All Captains, Direct Hit, Seaway, to name some, in 2019.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the worldwide pandemic that occurred in 2020, the band was forced to go into a temporary hiatus. However, the band took this free time as the perfect time to begin their production of their second full-length studio album, consisting of 8 brand new tracks, which are scheduled to be released throughout the summer of 2021. Jump Moon will be following the release of their new project with various live shows around the GTA, a college interview tour to market and promote their new project, amongst many other exciting things.
