If you took the Foo Fighters, The Presidents of the United States of America, The Flaming Lips, and They Might Be Giants, threw them into a blender, added some orange juice and a pinch of cinnamon, you might have something that sounds like us. . . Maybe.

It all started in Jamestown High School when Anthony, Tony, and Dustin decided to start a band. The fact that none of them really knew how to play their instruments did not matter to them.

The road that turned Junebug into the mighty force it is today was littered with epic shows. There was one show where Dustin decided to get so drunk that he kept turning his amp up but it didn't matter because he had accidently yanked the cord out. And who can forget the time Anthony's parents let Junebug play in their backyard to a crowd of about 5 people if you don't count parents. (Dustin's dad read a book during the entire set.)

Yes, experiences like that were just what Junebug needed to grow into the band they are today. The clever lyrics, catchy hooks, and unforgettable melodies were carved out of every show (good or bad), every illegal practice space, every lonely apartment, and everybody's dreams of a better world.

We recorded an EP of four songs for the 10,000 Lakes Festival Cosmic Break Contest in about 8 hours last night. Three of those songs can be heard here.

We have recieved radio airplay of live tracks on 98.7 in Fargo, ND, and feature those live tracks on myspace.com/junebugx.

Set List

Our sets mostly consist of our original brand of funky, jammy rock and roll (i.e. stuff you can move your butt to.) Then we throw in some slower ballads (i.e. stuff to make out to.)

We usually do 3 or 4 covers, usually redone with a Junebug flair. In the past we have covered The Beatles, Beck, Phish, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, Poison, Donavan, Dire Straits, AC/DC, etc...you know the usual.
