"The Junebug Flow"

http://www.alistaberdeen.com/music/

Alternative/indie group Junebug of Aberdeen, combines funky rhythms, melodies that jam and lyrics that will follow you out the door.

The band is made up of the original members Anthony Bergman, a “lyrical miracle,” on guitar and lead vocals, Dustin Marks on guitar and backing vocals, Tony Kollman on drums and backing vocals, and Josh Rieck, who joined Junebug this January, on bass.

Formed sometime around 1995, Junebug has played many venues in Aberdeen and beyond, including Bismarck, Fargo and Jamestown generating a faithful fanbase, ready and willing to “pay the toll to ride the Junebug flow.”

They are currently on the verge of launching their first double-album, Stan, an epic story of love, life and 99¢ pork rinds.

Bio

It all started in Jamestown High School when Anthony, Tony, and Dustin decided to start a band. The fact that none of them really knew how to play their instruments did not matter to them.

The road that turned Junebug into the mighty force it is today was littered with epic shows. There was one show where Dustin decided to get so drunk that he kept turning his amp up but it didn't matter because he had accidently yanked the cord out. And who can forget the time Anthony's parents let Junebug play in their backyard to a crowd of about 5 people if you don't count parents. (Dustin's dad read a book during the entire set.)

Yes, experiences like that were just what Junebug needed to grow into the band they are today. The clever lyrics, catchy hooks, and unforgettable melodies were carved out of every show (good or bad), every illegal practice space, every lonely apartment, and everybody's dreams of a better world.
