June Thomas, a resident of Easton, PA, has been involved with music since her youth. She is an accomplished vocalist, pianist, and multikeyboardist. .She is working towards her MM in Jazz Studies at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA (2010) where she is innovating a hybrid of mainstream jazz and Hindustani vocal improvisational styles.
June has performed with jazz artists such as: Jimmy Heath, Dave Liebman, George Young, Bill Goodwin, Steve Gilmore, Scott Lee, Phil Markowitz, Howie Collins, Duane Eubanks, John Swana, Bootsie Barnes, Jessie Green, and others. She has opened for Joe Henderson, Natalie Cole, and Woody Herman's Thundering Herd.
June supplied overdub vocals in the 2001 Miramax Movie release "City on Fire". a Far East production that has been re-released in a English format. This film is currently out on DVD and VHS.
Her current musical vision of "East meets West" in vocal improvisation is causing quite a "buzz" in the jazz community; her skills as a vocal improvisor are second-to-none, as is her stylistic instinct and impeccable musicianship. She is also a "crowd pleaser", loving to impart the spirit of her art to her audiences. June's band debuted at the Allentown Symphony Hall's Jazz Cabaret series in April of, 2011. They have also performed at Bethlehem, PA's RiverJazz Festival and Christkindlmart.
