Bio

Born in Brooklyn-NY in 2004, Jungle Junkies it is an American hard rock band formed by Brazilians!
This peculiarity can be captured in their sound, and their unique and original performance.
The band obtained respect and conquered a loyal public at the NYC underground circuit playing at principal venues like The Trash Bar, CBGB’s, The Continental, The Cake Shop, North Six, Knitting Factory, Pussycat Lounge, Ace of Clubs, Otto’s Shrunken Head and many more.
Emphasized by the Village Voice for the performance at the Pussy Rock Show, the band was invited by the porn star Joanna Angel to participate on the soundtrack of 2 Burning Angels’ DVDs (Vol. 2 and Vol. 4). At the same time, the band played at the Warped Tour 2005, performing in Old Bridge NJ, Randall’s Island NY, and at the Tweeter Center in Camden NJ. On the following year, they went back to the Warped Tour at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum NY, participating on the compilation “All Girls Stage Crew” Vol. 2 (2006), with names like Joan Jett and The Black Hearts, Shira Girl, Girl in Coma..
Jungle Junkies also had special guests playing live, like Doug Sakman (Punk Rock Holocaust director) and Joseph James (Agnostic Front, Inhuman). Also Paulo (Rosa Tattoada/Primitive) and Rods (Peter Perfeito/Capotones) are well known musicians in Brazil because their previous bands back there.
In 2008 the band gave a break on live performances to dedicate to its first album, JUNGLE JUNKIES, recorded by Dean Baltulonis (Lucero, Bouncing Souls, Casualites, Most Precious Blood, Sick of it All..). Containing 10 original tracks, the album was released on fall 2009.
Recently, the Jungle Junkies band is looking for a record label and is preparing a tour in the US, South America and Europe.
