Bio

Junia is an indie alt-rock music collective, with heavy Motown, soul, art rock, and pop influences, based in Toronto, ON. Junia is what happens when a group of friends who dont take themselves very seriously, find each other and cant stop making music.

The core of the band, consisting of Amy Towers on lead vocals, Joel Wilson on drums, and David Siekanowicz on guitar, has been writing songs together since 2011, and performing live with musical contributions from friends across countless venues in Ontario, including The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Sneaky Dees, The Hard Luck Bar, Adelaide Hall, and opening for Juno nominated artists Kiera Isabella and Autumn Hill at Mississaugas Celebration Square. They have also enjoyed success on YouTube, with 360,000+ views on their channel that features original music as well as acoustic covers.

Education, the single from their 2015 EP My Favourite People, received radio play on CBC Radio 1 99.1 FM Toronto,  CILV-FM Live 88.5 Ottawa, CFEX-FM X 92.9 Calgary, SirusXM Canada Talk 167, as well as over 30 campus radio stations across Canada.

My Favourite People is now available on iTunes!
