"Jusqu'à Grand–père" is a Japanese instrumental acoustic duo from Kyoto, consisting of Hiroaki Takai(Guitar) & Makoto Hirose(Violin) and formed in 1999.They siged with HATS in 2007.
Feelings that it wanted to continue both until becoming a gray hair were put, and it was named " Jusqu'à Grand -père " (Until becoming a grandfather )in French. " Jusqu'à sound" that absorbs a wide element like the gypsy jazz, Paris musette, Latin, tango, and classics, etc. can accept easily to everyone by exceeding the genre, appeals to people widely by the feature regardless of the age or sex a passionate, beautiful melody, and is loved.
They were greatly selected for the TRAILER music of Francois ozone directed movie "Le temps qui reste" in 2006. And, they achieved the collaboration with Singer "Clémentine" of France that was yearning. They debuted from label “HATS" to which Taro Hakase as a music total supervisor in 2007.
The activity of the music of "Jusqu'à Grand –père" is doesn't limit to the hall and the nightclub, and unique space production such as buildings of the Shinto shrine, the temple, the museum, the garden, and the important cultural asset. As a result, they are mediation that passes on nature, the history, and the culture to the audience.
"Jusqu'à" keep participates in "Cherry blossoms AID" that defends [yoshinosakura] of Nara in 2008. "Jusqu'à" does the nature conservation movement in music. "Jusqu'à" is offering others a lot of musics like TVCM, the TV drama, and the theme tune, etc.
