JusRay aka Raymond Halfon was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, developing a southern love for music, until suddenly his life would change when at age 14. His father was murdered at his family owned liquor store off West Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. He would never let it bother him. Instead, he made it motivate him to chase his dreams at a younger age. Shortly after that he moved in with his grandmother who helped him through his pain of losing his dad. After a year and a half she suddenly became ill and passed away, "I remember seeing this with my own eyes and it hurts but, I gotta move on, gotta reach my dreams. I live for them and I feel I owe them this, at least," JusRay says. At age 16, while still in high school and living by himself, JusRay felt the only way to get away from life was with music. He then started rapping and creating songs every day. Developing his style was the next step to becoming a complete all around rapper. "Music's my way out. Since I was 16 it has been my therapy towards life when counseling wasn't an option. Being hard headed made encounters with the law a more traumatic experience and it made me realize I never wanted to be locked up again because freedom is a gift." At 23, JusRay is still fighting for the American dream and is not far from it. Look out for the new album!
