"Beyond Music City"

"A modern-day troubadour writing achingly beautiful tales about getting out, looking back, broken dreams and dead ends. It's soul-searching folk and rock set on a lonesome highway in a western landscape . . . you gotta hear this." - Music City Unsigned

"The Oregonian"

"Vibrant." - Lee Williams

"Dave Lowensohn, Speechwriters LLC"

Justin walks the walk of a bona fide talent. He shoots from the hip and aims for the heart, often hitting the boogie shoe with round two and inevitably leaving the room too soon. - Speechwriters LLC

Justin Jude wants to wake you up.

This high plains preacher of dustbowl pop brings deliverance in the form of raw roots songs that are rough to the touch, sweet on the tongue, and that heal hardened hearts.

Descended from preachers himself, and born with a gift for the salty sermon, this multiple-award-winning songwriter pens songs of love lost, home found, and spirits broken and mended. Impossible to categorize, his mix of roots rock, folk, blues, gospel and faded old hymns makes Jude a true original.

Sounds like? Ryan Adams gets religion. Wilco wades in the water. Counting Crows count their blessings.

And this sermonizer can sing. Jude’s live show is a rafter-raising, soul-saving circus of soaring vocals and inspiring songs. His holy rollin’ band, The Open Road, at times swelling to 10 mighty musicians, leaves audiences exhausted and exalted. His incredible range and passionate voice invite comparisons to Martin Sexton and Marc Broussard.

Jude has performed with national acts like Erin McKeown and Lisa Loeb, as well as West Coast favorites Stephanie Schneiderman, The Dimes, Scott Fisher and Chris Robley. He’s played all over the country, been featured on national television, FM radio, internet radio and several compilations, including KINK-FM’s Plug in Portland Vol. 2 (2009). Jude tours regularly through the Northwest and West Coast.
