"Live @ Maryland Theatre"

Lead singer/guitarist, Justin Kalk, in barefeet, sporadically dances around the stage in a cross between Michael Jackson, Beck and Zack de la Rocha - Frederick News Post

"Baltimore Sun"

July 5, 2007

Current members: Justin Kalk, vocals and guitar; Steve Britton, bass and vocals... definitely get around. The band is recording its first full-length album in Nashville.

"It's kind of an album that's like the best of all of our older stuff for the last three years," Kalk said. "A lot of times the songs started to mean other things because of where we were."? - Baltimore Sun

"Genre Bending"

So what kind of band are they; pop, rock, rap, jazz, country, blues, gospel, hip-hop? Hmm...yes.
- Dominique Agnew

"Vegas Radio"

Their sound is soulful and full of energy and you actually get lost in the melodic tone of the lead singer's sweet voice and the band's tight and together harmonies.....A big musical influence in their lives is...none other than Elvis Presley. Justin's tale of the king's influence goes like this:

" My grandfather was playing poker with Elvis one night and he bet him the title of King of Rock and Roll and my grandfather won and he passed the title down to me. "

Justin started playing music when he was around 13 and not only sings but plays the guitar and writes. Steve sings, plays bass and Luke sings as well as plays the drums.

They won't stop till you let them move into Graceland - Lisa Proulx

"David Foster"

"That was an interesting song and actually I rather enjoyed it" - NBC's Star Tomorrow

JKO performed, recorded & produced the album @ Nashville's Blackbird Studio ( The Raconteurs, Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon).

Our ongoing 2010 "Stiff Necked Rocker Tour" started on January 2nd with a sold out album release party at NYC's The Bitter End & traveled to Baltimore, Philadelphia, L.A., Boston, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Louisville & many more U. S. cities.

Most impressive is JKO’s genre bending rock & roll. Please experience it for yourself @ www.justinkalk.com
