Biography

Hailing from Eugene, Justin King released his debut band album and toured nationally and internationally in 2007. The band, which blends melodic rock with adventurous rhythmic and textural elements, started in 2004 when Justin set aside his promising career as solo acoustic guitar virtuoso to pursue his true love of singing and writing with a band.

In 2008, Justin is returning to his solo career and embarking on recording an album that is entirely written by him, he will play all of the instruments and it will be recorded at his own "Blackberry Hill" studio in Eugene. Justin is known for his guitar playing, but he is also a talented multi-instrumentalist; he plays keyboards, drums and bass on many of his previous recordings.

The solo career Justin took a break from was no ordinary one; known for his innovative techniques and virtuosic style, Justin toured all over the world as a solo artist, opening for the likes of B.B. King, Diana Krall, and James Taylor. In 2003 he released a CD of original songs and instrumental compositions entitled 'Le Bleu', recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. Videos of Justin's playing can be found all over the internet, posted by Justin's fans in various parts of the world.

Lyrics

Change

Written By: Justin King

I can't tell which way to turn
All the voices in my head
Is the choir insane?
And nothing's being said
The train is raging
And the seams seem to want to tear (?)
And it's quiet outside
But we're falling in here

Hey, it's ok, it's just change
And it goes like it goes
Let it go
Hey, it's ok, nothing ever stays the same
You can't be sure of anything

Certainty is overrated
Even though it might be nice to have a guarantee
Oh stuck again, stuck again
When do the answers come?
And the ceiling fan just turns and turns
This is narcissistic, and unnecessary
Leave it up to me I'll complicate the situation

Hey, it's ok, it's just change
And it goes like it goes
Let it go
Hey, it's ok, nothing ever stays the same
You can't be sure of anything

You only get one life I want to live it right
Like it's the last night on earth

Hey, it's ok, it's just change
And it goes like it goes
Let it go
Hey, it's ok, nothing ever stays the same
You can't be sure of anything

Sweetheart

Written By: Justin King

Sweetheart your sugar is candy
Drunk like whisky and wine
All the boys and all the girls want you all the time
When you wake up they'll be standing in a line

It's alright now
You don't worry about
What you'll do tomorrow, tonight
Last to the wheel
You've forgotten how to feel
'Cos you break all the hearts you steal

You like going out and when they play your music loud
All their faces turn your way when you walk through the crowds
But they don't know you when your make-up's running down

It's alright now
You don't worry about
What you'll do tomorrow, tonight
Last to the wheel
You've forgotten how to feel
'Cos you break all the hearts you steal

Sweetheart yeah you're bitter like coffee
Always on my mind
