Bio
Justin Moksha spent the years from 1991 through to 2005 playing in some of the most innovative bands to come out of the seething music hub of Dunedin (NZ). Predominantly a guitarist and vocalist in rock outfits like Freakshow ’57, Lung Butter Inc, and The Bakunin Syndicate, Justin made the move to bass guitar in seminal ambient/roots/rock group Moksha in 1998.
Moksha was a creatively challenging and musically exciting 4 piece that enjoyed critical acclaim and success through to 2001 when the group finally disbanded.
From 2003 to 2004 the group was revived with a different line up and sound with Justin making the move back to guitar and vocals for a more alt. Country, acoustic/rock direction. The reformed group was welcomed back into the void that had been left by the disbanding of the original Moksha despite these differences in line up and direction.
Justin continues to write record and performs as a solo artist, continuing on with his alt. Country/ rock experiment.
