Justin Olson is a Roots American singer/songwriter balladeer whose musical style embraces folk, soul, blues and rock, held together by his uniquely warm yet lighthearted voice.

Biography

Justin Olson moved to Arizona by way of New Mexico, after a few years spent in Texas. He has lived most of his life in Arizona, drawing on the State’s urbanism, its landscapes, as well as his own personal experiences to be the Muse of his creations.
In December 2009, Justin Olson has had the great fortune of performing in the first annual Tempe Center for the Arts Songwriters Showcase, shown on AZ’s PBS, and has opened for such acts as: Hans Olson, Tobie Milford, Dan Reed and The Young Dubliners.
At around the same time, he began to record his first LP at Electric Lotus Music.

Honest, warm, tuneful… these are some of the adjectives that would best describe this seminal album. Justin sings as he writes his own songs: with all of his soul open as a good book.
This album takes on all of Justin’s influences, and merges them straight onto tape. 60’s grooves by Mickey McGee (Flying Burrito Brothers, Linda Ronstad), B3 organs by Paul Darrow, Shea Marshall on clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, oboe, piano ; Steve Limpert of The Bad Cactus Brass Band on trumpet ; live strings and so many more musical surprises around the corner…
« Justin Olson & the SoulVival» is released by the end of 2011 and Justin Olson will be touring. Stick around to hear him live !
