Justin Peterson (vocals/guitars/looping) just started his career in the fall of 2004 after playing in a band called …On Till Morning, which parted ways due to creative differences.
Using computer technology to create looped samples as well as playing guitar have given Justin a sound that could be related to the likes of Dave Matthews and other great songwriters of this century.
The slower songs make you want to serenade your significant other while the more upbeat songs make your foot tap and feel like dancing. With a voice that has a raw edge to it and song lyrics that are soulfully laid out to the music you can see how he has the potential to be a very strong act that could have a very large fan base.
Though there is a small sampling on Justin’s EP “Newfields Sessions” (5 songs) I expect big things out of him with a new album coming out in the fall of 2006. Go to his website, listen to his songs and remember the name Justin Peterson, I have a feeling that we all will be hearing more about him before too long.

Celebrating the release of an EP tonight is Justin Peterson & the Rehearsals, a pop-rock band that takes cues from Dave Matthews and Howie Day for a sound that is generally pleasing and non-threatening. Songs include the dark and smoky "Sister Soul" and the more radio-friendly breakup song, "Wasting Time." There's also "Dear Self," a song that has Peterson singing to himself about the state of things. The band plays with Mister Vertigo, Violet Nine, and the Haverhill experimental-rock act Sir Q, the imposter. 8:30. $10. Bill's Bar, 5 Lansdowne St., 617-421-9678. billsbar.com

Justin Peterson just started his solo career in the fall of 2004. He had played previously in a band known as ...On Till Morning, after a string of successful shows the band parted ways due to creative differences. This seemed like the end, but was it?
After about a month of soul searching Justin began writing new material for his debut Ep Newfields Sessions. If it wasn't for Bob Beal's (the screen) constant badgering this project may have never gotten off the ground. While most of the EP was created in the studio a few key elements were brought in.
A lot of this EP infuses computer technology with actual performance giving a unique touch to its sound. Quickstar Productions out of MD. will be using the track Talk To Me on there forth coming compilation CD entitled "Chill out, East Coast edition."
After his fall tour last year reaching NYC, NH,& MA, look for Justin to move even farther on his musical journey this year. He is currently working with Producer Aaron Katz (Percy Hill) for his next studio endevour.

In terms of his sound, soul and performace Justin Peterson is put on a level with Howie Day, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper and many other great songwriters of the new millenium.
