"Big Western Flavor Demo Review"

His low-pitched voice is remarkably able to reach and sustain higher notes -- giving his music a resemblance to Our Lady Peace, were they from Texas instead of Canada. Rayfield's powerful instrument gives his acoustic-driven songs unexpected intensity, as on the massive chorus to "Fall." - http://bigwesternflavor.blogspot.com

Biography
Musical Genre: Alternative/indie/folk

The sound was born from a marriage of '90s punk rock and a younger generation of indie-rock. Beginning as a writer in punk rock bands, Justin Rayfield always leaned toward the melodic, harmony driven variety. The melodies and harmonies have evolved into a softer style and, while little of the punk roots are still showing, the passion remains with a vocal intensity that could only come from such a high-energy beginning.

The gradually building works written by Rayfield are often about personal change, but don't shy away from topics of a more social nature.

For more than ten years, Justin Rayfield has played all over the Northwest and Southwest of the United States.  Rayfield has played festivals such as the Mowich Festival in Myrtle Creek, OR and the Downtown Sound Music Festival in Bend, OR, and countless bar shows, concert halls and coffee shop gigs with the likes of Kimberley Freeman, Nico Vega and Rich Kids on LSD.  With band mates or as a solo act, Rayfield has brought laughter, tears and musical escape to many from Seattle, WA to Austin, TX.

With three full-length albums under his belt and a constantly growing catalog of original music, Justin Rayfield puts on a show that is high-energy and always fresh.

“It's like getting out of warm water into the sun. Somehow it's cold and you want to go back, but you can't and you won't because you know that part of your life is gone.”--Justin Rayfield
