Biography

Justin Smithson was born on May 19th 1981 in Herkimer, NY. At the age of 5 he started his passion for music by teaching himself how to play the guitar. After a couple of years, he was singing and playing at talent shows and other competitions. When he was 13, he was asked to join a local band named 3-Peat which, after adding a keyboard player, evolved into Showtime. Justin will continue to play with Showtime until Dec. 2005 when he plans to venture out on his own. Justin takes his influences from each end of the spectrum including: Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Green Day, 311, Blink 182, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles etc...
