"Press Quotes!"

“Justin Tranter is a DIY drama-pop prince who sounds something like Rufus Wainwright and Tori Amos clawing each other's eyes out. Live, he teeters between being wildly manic and charmingly self-effacing, but either way he always puts on a good show."
– Time Out NY

"Tranter, 24, is a bona fide star in his adopted hometown of NYC, where he has developed a rabid following with his complex and cathartic compositions, and his dramatic stage presence"
- LA Frontiers News Magazine

"Next up was the blindingly, blisteringly fabulous Justin Tranter who apparently possesses more rock-and-roll drama and hutsspah in his young, lithe frame than an entire line-up of Monsters of Rock geezers all crammed on a tour bus. Tranter channels the flinty theatrics of David Bowie, the romance and pain of Rufus Wainwright, and a butt-slammingly gutsy gift for rock melodies and emotional sonic statements that we've not seen in some time."
- John Polly, Editor in Chief, Next Magazine

“Justin Tranter’s bravura performance left his audience astonished, amazed, and gasping. Super-cute, air headed twink one moment, raging demon from hell the next. Justin’s stage presence and intense far-ranging changes showed a dramatic capability far in advance of his years. Even more astonishing was his broad and powerful voice range. Backed by a superb team of highly polished musicians, Justin Tranter has to be experienced to be believed.”
- Out In Jersey

"Have you ever been so blown away by an artist that words can't even begin to describe just how exceptional the experience you just had was? This is the experience I had listening to Tranter's "Tear Me Together."
- Tampa Gazette

“Justin Tranter’s ‘Scratched sounds like Billy Corgan trying to score a sequel to ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’ ”
-Boston Globe

“Justin Tranter is not a singer/songwriter – he is an event. After bringing 250 people for his show at CBGB with Lisa Jackson, queer downtown darling Justin is bringing his rebellious rock ‘n’ roll sounds to….”
- HX Magazine

“Tranter is a bonafide rock star and a guru for those who have loved and lost, hated and been hated and found redemption.”
- Boston University Daily Press

“I was so surprised by Justin Tranter, he is one of the most original and creative performers I have ever seen!”
- NY Blade

- Various

Bio

After moving his band to from Boston to New York, after playing every rock club in NYC, after winning an OutMusic Award, after hosting his own weekly music event, after getting encores demanded of him at CBGB, after throwing numerous sold out rock parties, after selling thousands of records he released on his own, after performing at the Virgin Megastore, after being on HBO’s Chat Zone as himself, after playing sold out shows in Chicago, Boston and LA, and after finally winning over the NYC press by gracing the cover of Next Magazine and being called “an event!”, “the DIY Drama Pop Prince”, and “NYC’s New Rock Darling”, we think the world may actually be ready to realize the iconic talent and personality of Justin Tranter. You know, with all of that happening in the last year and a half, who cares that he grew up in Chicago attending the Midwest’s version of “Fame”, and that he has a college degree in songwriting from Berklee College of Music. The end.
