A NEW WAVE OF HIP POP
ORIGINATES IN THE TWIN
CITIES...JUST*LIVE
With the recent signing to thinkthinkthink music and an already existing album
entitled, Moxy, Just Live is going to put the twin cities back on the hip pop map.
Songs such as, Go Crazy, Whatever and So Ghetto pumped by this Minneapolis
based group Just.Live follows on the footsteps of Prince, Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis and
Mint Condition. Rock & Roll and Beeph otherwise known as Just.Live, have been
creating music together since 2001. Although the duo performs over hip hop tracks
and rhymes their way through a plethora of topics, they do not consider themselves
to be commonly categorized as Hip Hop or Pop artists. In fact Just.Live has given
birth to their own genre : Hip Pop. Although we will probably be categorized in
another genre with our next record with thinkthinkthink music; we like to keep trying
new things and stretch our boundaries as musicians. said Rock & Roll, one half
of Just.Live.With so many artists emerging onto the music scene sharing similar
styles and lyrical content, its hard to separate the truly artistic and passionate
from the catchy chorus and dance craze machine that the mainstream music industry
is quickly turning into. By creating their own genre of music, Just.Live pulls
from different musical styles, embody the meaning of Hip Pop and are free to be
who they are with no apologizes. Its straight feel good music. Music has sort of
become weird. Hip Hop is blinged out and Pop is bald headed, we like to be the
weirded out, blinged out and bald headed artist that people miss these days. says
Rock & Roll. With a full band that ranges from background singers to a horn section,
Just.Lives live show brings more energy than sugar fed toddlers and more funk
than a fl y sneaker. Just.Live describes their live performance as, The freshest
experience that musicians can produce. Like U2 meets Jay-Z featuring Avril
Lavinge. Inspired by life, shopping and the weirdness of relationships, this
dynamic duo is shedding a whole new light on everyday events. With easy to understand
lyrics and relatable storylines Just.Lives music takes you on a rhythmic
journey full of more than pops, locks and drops. Just.live injects hope into a new
individuality and personal expression through music. Free from profanity and full
