Biography
Jaimelee Anderson Holm is new comer to the Chicago market, having just moved to the area in mid-2012. She loves Chicago and is here to stay, as witnessed by her setting up familial and musical roots for the long haul. Jaime has a very interesting musical history. As a child (9 Years old), she appeared in "Star Search," the wildly popular talent show--it was American Idol of the 90s. By 17 years old, she had landed a record deal with Sony records and did a national tour in support. She also performed on Broadway (yes Broadway!!) in Les Miserable. After getting married and taking some time to start her family, she made her way to Chicago where she plans to resume and continue her successful musical career.

Dan Reyes is a Chicago musician who has played many shows and venues over the years. Performing in the best halls and venues all across the country from Lincoln Hall, Joe's Bar, House of Blues, Cubby Bear, to just about every festival and concert around, his vocals and guitar playing have been seen by thousands. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music including Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Lee Brice, and others. As a songwriter he has penned many songs with many writing partners, most recently releasing "Said Yes Once," with the Jin and Tonic Band.

Jaime and Dan hit if off immediately and began writing music from the first day they met. A CD is surely going to be on the horizon in the not to distant future.

Description
Just South of Heaven (JSoH) is the creation of Dan Reyes, former lead singer from the very popular Chicago country band, Jin and Tonic. After several years of performing and one original album with the Jin and Tonic Band, Dan decided to leave to form Just South of Heaven. Shortly after leaving the Jin and Tonic Band, Dan met and quickly teamed up with Jaimelee Anderson Holm. Together the two immediately began writing music and already have several new songs under their belts. Recording will start very soon.

JSOH plays a mix of cover and original music. The cover set is a perfect mix of Americana, Country, and pop music from bands like The Civil Wars, Thompson Square, The Lumineers, and others. This band knows how to keep a night moving. While the band plays popular songs, it also features their own original music, which they are very proud of. They are currently working on their debut CD which will include fan favorites "Broke but not Broken" and "In Country," and these songs will be supported by newer tunes like "Never Gonna be the Same," "I Got the Light," and "The Grass is Always Greener." A new CD will introduce this new original project to the Chicago market, in a big way - featuring the catchy melodies and progressions of Reyes, with the always clever lyrics of Jaimelee.
