A crystalline voice and careful fingers weave soundtracks to your train rides.

Biography

Juta started when Pierluigi Aielli crossed the Atlantic to meet Barbara Adly in her native Montreal for their first songwriting session. Now they that they both live in Italy, they're crossing it again this fall, but this time together AND with a band, to record their first album. They've spent the last 2 years touring Italy with Dario Mazzucco and Pietro Canali, delighting audiences to attentive silences with their sparkly samplings. At the last show, a backpacker from Sweden was even spotted shedding a tear! Though they don't want to make anyone cry, they revel in the emotion that is often generated at their shows.

Lyrics

Wait

Written By: Barbara Adly

Palm tree placidity
Have a seat and listen to the green.
You say you’re unhappy
Don’t know why you came back to me.
So you wait
Yeah you wait
‘Till home comes round to find you
Home comes round to find you

Car wash smiles and silliness
In the meantime
Silliness in the sunshine
Car wash smiles and silliness
When you can’t find the time to look and know that you’ll be fine.
That you’ll be fine.

So you wait
Wait to get better
Now that you’re here
Know that it’s not easy
Know that I’ll be here when you need me
I will always be right here beside you
All you need to do
Is just come over.

Neon Lights

Written By: Barbara Adly

Suits surround me
and your tie, it hurts my eyes, and you...
Couldn't you choose one
Better next time

Aisles of eyes
In cafeteria lines
I eat on my own
But if you sit here next to me
I won't say a word I won't pretend
Pretend that I don't see
Pretend that I don't see

Don't ask too many questions
Till your eyes adjust to the light

'Cause if the neon lights seem bright
'Cause if the neon lights seem bright
Wait till you step outside

'Cause if the neon lights seem bright
'Cause if the neon lights seem bright
Wait till you step outside

'Cause we're about to step outside
We're about to step outside
We're about to step outside

Out of Hand

Written By: Barbara Adly

Speak to me in circles and squares
Anything else just isn’t there
And when I see green fields I smile
I smile

Walk slow not to stumble
Look straight not to fall behind

I’ve tried my best to understand
As the world slipped slowly out of hand
As the world slipped slowly

Call it what you will
I’m making sense of what I can
With what I have
My filters are overfull

One-liners and party tricks
I stand here disarmed
By one-liners and party tricks
I’m out of my resources

Stand here without
Resources

Walk slow not to stumble
Look straight not to fall behind

I’ve tried my best to understand
As the world slipped slowly out of hand
As the world slipped slowly

Caught here walking inside this dream
Caught here walking inside this dream
Keep me
locked here walking inside this dream
Locked here walking inside this dream
