Known to his friends simply as "Jay Tee", JUVON TAYLOR IS THE TRUTH. Already a RISING STAR ON YOUTUBE, since 2008 Taylor has been posting home-produced web-cam videos, covering songs by popular artists such as Trey Songz, Usher, Ne-Yo, and Chris Brown. To date, his videos have been viewed AN ASTOUNDING 880,000 TIMES! … and counting. Equally impressive is that his YouTube Channel has more than 4000 SUBSCRIBERS. Besides having a pitch-perfect singing voice, JT exudes an effortless charisma and rare natural talent as a performer. It quickly CONNECTS HIM TO HIS AUDIENCE, even in raw video clips captured from his bedroom. People say all glory comes from daring to begin, and Juvon Taylor has begun his march to centre stage.
With a lifelong passion for music, stage presence that will leave you breathless, and explosive talent as a dancer, Juvon began taking his music career seriously in 2008 and hired vocal coach to the stars Elaine Overholt, famous for training Richard Gere and Queen Latifah for the Oscar-winning feature film Chicago. The professional quality of JT’s voice is powerful, and beautifully showcased on his newest demos. Juvon’s natural swagger as a performer is perfectly complimented by the seductive quality, silky tone and unmistakable character of his voice.
With Juvon Taylor, another star is born. The Etobicoke School of the Arts has done it again. Having recently completed his final year of high school at the same renowned performing arts school that produced Emily Haines of Metric, Kevin Drew, Fefe Dobson, and George & Justin Nozuka, he has already made an enviable impression on the acting world, with critically and unforgettably acclaimed roles in "Seussical the Musical", "The Thing About my Baby" and most recently, in the lead role of Roger in the hit musical, "Rent."
So, truth be told, the term “triple threat” leaves a few talents unmentioned. JT is also gaining notoriety as a gifted songwriter, arranger, and producer. Even though his songwriting skills are just beginning to blossom and bear fruit, he is increasingly being spoken about as an ELECTRIFYING HOOK AND HIT WRITER, and is frequently being asked to collaborate with an impressive array of local artists. So the word is out. And the word is GIFTED. That word - and JT’s gift - is becoming his bond. And his bond with King Luck Music is bearing fierce fruit: a writing partnership with producer and master song-craftsman Stephen “KING LUCK” Williams that only comes along a rare few times in the career of even the most successful artists.
