"QUOTES"

HEY, DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!

"Never fails to electrify the crowd!"
- Mark Monahan, Ottawa Bluesfest (JW opened for B.B. King in 2013)

"This is an amazing blues band" - Dan Aykroyd [Elwood Blues]

"Slick guitar playing, beautiful arrangements, and an immediate personable
connection with not only the audience, but also with everyone backstage
made JW-Jones a stand-out at our festival! Gifted artist, and a downright
nice guy. It doesn't get any better!"
- Bob Halvorsen, Thunder Bay Blues Festival

“JW-Jones is one of the best we've seen in 14 years! The fans loved it!”
- Jacques Dubé, Festival Jazz & Blues de Saguenay [Chicoutimi, QC]

"Highly regarded in blues circles" - Blues Revue Magazine

"JW always delivers 100% for our audiences - a real fan favourite in Fredericton!"
- Brent Staeben, Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival [Fredericton, NB]

"JW-Jones and his crack rhythm section delivered a top-shelf contemporary
blues presentation and JW is a joy to do biz with."
- Bob Corritore, Rhythm Room [Phoenix, AZ]

"There are musicians and there are entertainers... JW is both! Like his music,
he's smooth on stage, the band always swings. Always professional and a
pleasure to work with." - Mike Moss, Callahans Music Hall [Detroit, MI]

"We've had JW-Jones on our radar for more than four years and man did he
deliver! Polite and professional off stage, and raw real deal killin' it blues while
performing." - Vinnie Valenza, Blues City Deli [St. Louis, MO]

"Astoundingly gifted, fluid and exciting, blues guitar virtuoso from Canada.
JW-Jones is the one to watch, not just for the future, but now!"
- Cadillac Zack, Promoter [Los Angeles, CA]

"We booked JW on a support slot for another artist and JW-Jones stole the
show with his opening set, then stayed around to jam with the other band.
Musicianship and showmanship were outstanding! Rapport with the audience
after the show was top notch as well."
- Terry Sedivy, 21st Saloon / Omaha Blues Society [Omaha, NE]

"JW's got it down! So much soul, and nice material. You can't beat it!"
- Hubert Sumlin, legendary bluesman

"As people were leaving the theatre at the end of the show, many could be heard
discussing the performance… 'beautiful,' 'awesome,' 'excellent' and more."
- Elliot Lake Standard [Elliot Lake, ON]

"Jones is obviously a charming stage performer but he’s also without a doubt
an outstanding musician." - Welland Tribune [Welland, ON] - Various

19 COUNTRIES, 4 CONTINENTS, 7 CDs

Canadian singer/guitarist JW-Jones tours constantly, and is known for his high-energy show that keeps getting hotter!

Guitar World Magazine featured a CD called Guitar Masters Vol. 2 that put Jones alongside guitar stars B.B. King, Jimmy Page, and Carlos Santana among others, which led him to an endorsement deal with Gibson guitars.

On his latest release, 'Seventh Hour', Jones teamed up with multi-Juno award winning artist/producer, Steve Dawson.  Previous releases have featured legendary guests Hubert Sumlin (Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters) and David "Fathead" Newman (Ray Charles); heavy-hitters Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds) and Charlie Musselwhite; two of the most innovative guitarists of our time, Little Charlie Baty and Junior Watson; and Canadian billboard favorite, Colin James. Jones has cut records from Hollywood to Sun Studios in Memphis.

While keeping one foot firmly planted in the roots he came from, this Maple Blues Award winner is always pushing the boundaries by creating songs and a live music experience that is appealing to a younger audience, which is the most vital way to ensure the evolution of blues and roots music.  What's the main ingredient?  A world-class performance that exhilarates audiences everywhere.

Musicians that tour with Jones; Jamie Holmes (drums) and the heavy grooves of Laura Greenberg (bass) always add a powerful energy to the stage. Charlie Musselwhite says "JW has done it again. Another fine CD of great tunes, guitar playing and arrangements. He sings his blues with authority."

In early 2014, JW toured the US opening for Johnny Winter playing sold-out shows, and will open for one of his biggest influences, Jimmie Vaughan this year.  His last few CDs have hit #1 on B.B. King's Bluesville on Sirius-XM Radio in the U.S.A., and Jones continues to win over audiences (up to 40,000) across the globe with his incredible live performances.
