Bio
James Woodstock, Singer/Songwriter has been singing and performing for over 35 years.
In the last four years he formed the band James Woodstock adn the Vegan Piranhas. He and his band play songs written by James as well as a mixed bag of music from alt country, folk & blues to ballads. John Prine, Joe Ely,
Robert Earl Keen, Guy Clark, Fred Eaglesmith, Dave Alvin and Emmy Lou Harris are a few of the artists who influence his musical palette.
James has completed his debut CD titled “Hope and Desperation”.
The band perform monthly at the Copper Kettle in Glen Williams, Ontario and have done several benefit
concerts, most recently “Helping Hands for Haiti”.
Whether playing solo or with any number of his 5 member band; Patrick Fraser on bass, Carl Agar on mandolin, Peter Perko on accordion, Dave Beazley on electric guitar and Phil Lewin on piano, James’ music has a strong impact on all those who listen.
