Bio

Kaex was born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY on November 9th 1978. At a very young age he developed a deep love for the art of music. Growing up, his relatives would often get together to enjoy the classic soul music of the 70's. They usually party well into the early morning hours, while Kaex would fall asleep to the soulful sounds of artists such as, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Earth Wind & Fire, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Teddy Pendergrass and Barry White.

At the tender age of eight, he was moved by a live rap performance by his next-door neighbor at a house party he had attended with his mother. After which he then became extremely passionate about writing and performing his own rap lyrics. Shy at first, Kaex simply amazed friends and relatives with his undeniable talents as a songwriter and storyteller. It was also his quiet and reserved nature that made hearing him rap with so much soul and heartfelt delivery, which made the story being told more intriguing. He soon captured the attention of the underground rap world. Performing since he was just thirteen, he toured local nightclubs, bars, lounges, talents showcases, and open Mic’s; anywhere people would listen he’d rap. Kaex began to master the art of rhyming, and not long after, eventually he would begin to master the art of producing. He is a true student to the game. Some of his early influences included Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Masta Ace, KRS-1 and of course Run DMC, Common, Redman, Busta Rhymes, Nas, 2Pac, Big Pun, Eminem, Jay-Z, and The Notorious B.I.G.

Kaex proved to be a true student to the game. Kaex remains hard at work in the recording studio. He recently signed with rap label Pulsar Entertainment, LLC, to be included in their compilation LP. The first two releases on the Pulsar compilation contained two tracks by KAEX, titled “one more chance” and “summertime”. The promotional copies of “one more chance” will be serviced to the industry on July 31, 2007 and followed by “summertime” in August 20, 2007. Kaex will not only change the game, but will also change the world on how they view Hip Hop. Look out for Kaex! http:www.pulsarmusicgroup.com
