Kahlil Famous aka FAME:
FAME was born in Bosier City, LA. He moved to San Bernadino, CA and resides in the heart of Houston, TX. Fame took an interest in music early in life and began writing lyrics at the age of 10. FAME was influenced by the portraits painted by hip hop artists and the lyrical content that told the truth about what he saw growing up. With the desire to tell his story and leave his mark on hip hop a dream was formed.
In High School FAME battled many who claimed to have lyrical talent. But what started out as a High School hip hop rivary developed into a partnership when he and FORTUNE FABALON became rivals then friends. Fortune and FAME are the founders of Fabalon Recordingz. The chemistry of these two artists blends excellent production and inventive lyrics to provide a fresh and exciting sound to the Houston Rap scene.
Fortune and FAME have toured with many known artists such as Scarface, Lil Flip and Juvenile to name a few. They have also featured on many local up and coming artist’s tracks and mix tapes. Fortune and FAME have an affiliation with Houston GO Dj Shawnee.
You may have seen performances by Fortune and FAME alongside Houston greats such as Lil Pokey and Lil Keke. The duo also appeared on MTV, BET, HOT TV (Houston Ch 55) as well as Hip Hop Access channels. Stay tuned to 97.7 THE BOX and HOT 97 to hear music by Fortune and FAME or commercial blasts for coming events. FAME’S growth and desire to keep up with the game’s constant progression he released two street albums with a third on the way. The slogan for the street album movement is “FU@% A BARCODE”. It is a tribute to the Southern way of grinding out the trunk and with combined sales of just over 10,000 it has been a successful effort.

Combining the sounds of street and commercial music the duo is set to be the next to be reckoned with. Due to the overwhelming support Fabalon Recordingz has received by local artists, Kahlil Famous founded a label titled Blacc & Myld Muzik Inc. This label provides the opportunity for artists to solidify themselves as a unit delivering their own unique artistic sound and passion withour conflict with the signature sound of Fabalon Recordingz. The current members of Blacc & Myld Muzik are Feady Fachio, Swagged Up Boiz (S.U.B) consisting of Dough Boi Fresh and Boi Fresh and 5th Ward Black and 22. Kahlil Famous also records under the Blacc & Myld Muzik Label as well as oversees the projects the label puts out. Kahlil Famous is the hottest artists making his debut in the streets of Houston. He has been compared to the lyrical styles of Jay Z and he and Fortune Fabalon together are a reminder of Pimp and Bun.
A Cali influenced melody with a southern bass line gives a definition to Kahlil Famous style an edge on the norm coming from Houston.
