Kahn Brothers

Kahn Brothers is the new project from singer-songwriters Edo and Nadav Kahn. This exciting new project and recently completed debut record, "Love Melts Fear", recorded indpendently and mixed at Electric Lady Studios NYC, will be unleashed to the world officially in 2008.

The brothers formed the core of Aussie band Gelbison (2001-2007), see www.myspace/gelbison, www.gelbison.com.au. And signed to Virgin/Emi, releasing two stunning, critically acclaimed records, "1704" and "See The World" (2004).

Gelbison toured their dreamy-alternative-country-psychedelic-rock music in the UK, US and Australia with such bands as Beck, Wilco, Gomez, Ben Folds, Sleepy Jackson, Old Man River and more...

Gelbison's music was described by David Fricke (Roling Stone) as "...spaced-Beatles pop. The wonder is in the liquid but eloquent way this young quartet bundles it all together." Appearing at SXSW in 2004 Gelbison were picked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of five bands that made the highlights and also in the Austin chronicle "...From Radiohead-sized electronica to Lennon-influenced acoustic anthems to full-on power pop, it was all done with hooks and melodies to spare. (SXSW Austin Chronicle, 2004).

However, in late 2006 the brothers embarked on an adventure, parting ways with Virgin Records to pursue new horizons. Over the past two years the brothers have had life changing experiences whereby they have spent time playing music in India at orphanages and various charity concerts, and also working as music therapists, running workshops for people with mental dissabilities.

Inspired by eastern philosophy, and their new awakenings, the new music offers positivity and matured song writing, in an accoustic-classic-folk-pop style (think Lennonesque pop, Harrison's All Things Must Pass, Dylan meets Simon & Garfunkel...).

Organic instrumentation, recorded live, with a great sound and timeless message. Love Melts Fear is deep and rich with melody and inspiring lyrics. To bring joy to the world in these times...
