Bio
KAIOWAS is a 5-piece, progressive experimental rock outfit originating from Singapore. Initially formed in 2002, the band was quite active in the local music scene. Unfortunate circumstances had put the band on an indefinite hiatus; after several line-up changes and various member collaborations with other bands in the music scene, KAIOWAS eventually got back together with its current 5-piece line-up.
The signature hard rock, progressive, ethnic and industrial sound of KAIOWAS comes from a collective influence of various bands such as Soundgarden, Meshuggah, OSI, Porcupine Tree, Korn, ADF, and Mudvayne just to name a few. KAIOWAS hopes to create an impact in the music scene with their own brand of energetic performances and rocking music that appeals to both musicians and general listeners alike. The band is currently recording their first self-produced EP, Dilemma. The title track was released as a single on December 31st 2012. The single is available as a free download at www.kaiowas.sg
KAIOWAS released their first music video "Dilemma LIVE in studio" on February 2013 featuring the great Iskandar Ismail on vocals.
