Kaipara Hip-Hop Band

Formed in 2009 The KAIPARA HIP HOP BAND also known as K.DOUBLE.H.B are a 3-piece extending group performing an ALL-ORIGINAL High energy blend of Hip Hop, R&B, Drum & Bass, Dance and Trip Hop in live shows all around Northland. Representing the People of Otamatea and extended parts of New Zealands very own Kaipara harbour. Featuring Josh Lewis a.k.a PRACISE on the Mic. Josh is a Lyrical Mastermind, Kapa Haka exponent and Natural Entertainer. He has perfromed in Hawaii and australaisa and tells some history of the kaipara with his methodical writing and unique verbal delivery. Josh always interacts with the crowd and is garaunteed to get you on the dancefloor and having a good time. The Rythem section is made up of 1st cousins Ollie and Perry Kingi. Ollie is a guitarist and shows his versatility by playing keys in the band. He has a melodic approach and contributes many of the unique and dark melodies you will here when listening to the KAIPARA HIP HOP BAND. Perry holds a solid groove on the drums and has a modern gospel influenced approach. He contributes creativity in all areas and directs the majority of the bands development. Ollie and Perry have been involved in many previous bands including Wikid N8cha, Selective Sound and Tempist Fujit to name a few. They currently play Drums and Keys in Roots/Rock/Reggae Originals band Localize. The K.H.H.B are preparing to record a Single and/or Album this year with release dates to be confirmed, the band will also be introducing new players to add required new sounds, fill up the music and pump up the stage show.
