Bio
From the foothills of Cochrane, Alberta, singer-songwriter Kaitee Dal Pra launched her professional career with the release of her debut album, Autumn Rust, in May 2011. The musical portrait of love, friendship, and life as a small town girl is an independent release featuring 12 songs penned and performed by Kaitee and a host of local talents. A range of moods and styles are found throughout the album. From the hopeful and tender ballad of emergence, Goodbye High School, rock feel of What Are Your Friends For which speaks of fierce loyalty and the power of friendship and Pop/rock gems Closer to Alive and Dangerous which reflect the joys and perils of a blossoming music career. Autumn Rust, the title track, is a lyrical painting of summer, while Country Girl, a country-rock ballad, is an intimate view of the artist's final steps to adulthood with a compelling innocence, and much like the artist herself, these songs are natural, genuine and graceful.
Performing one of her first original songs, Kaitee won Calgary Junior Idol at the age of 15. Since then, some of her performance opportunities include the Calgary Stampede Talent Search, Mikeys Juke Joint show, Lammles Rising Star semi finals, Longview Music Festival, Nashville North Rising Star top ten contestant, The Calgary Lilac Festival busking zone, opening Canada Day celebrations in Cochrane for Emerson Drive, Performance at Windows of the West Calgary Stampede, a performance at the 4th Street Lilac festival sponsored Pancake Showdown. as well as various local shows and benefits in her hometown of Cochrane.
This young Songwriter is currently writing songs for her future second album and is working with and collaborating with other singer/songwriters and musicians.
