KALI MA HipHop

KALI MA HipHop is Providence’s dynamic duo: Maxx Millanova and Konscious Keke; Deejay Kellan has been shanghaid by the duet for the ride. 

Maxx is a potent and heart felt emcee who doubles as a musician and a producer. Keke is an emcee/singer and b-girl extraordinaire who’s warm, soulful vocals and a matter of fact rhymes make her the perfect partner to tear up stages with. Deejay Kellan is a veteran on the scene and a master of the turntables. This live element is what brings everything together and keeps the audience on their toes.

Although new to the scene, this trio has graced many stages from all throughout RI, to MA, the Bronx, NY to upstate New York, and Canada. From night clubs, park jams, to college campuses. Most recently representing for young women struggling to have a voice in a world out to silence them, for the showing of the Providence Children’s Film Festival’s documentary winner, ’SONITA’.

Their use of powerful lyrics and playful vibes light up any stage. Get down or get up as they bring you into their world of storytelling and mysticism from the life creating perspective of the feminine. Channeling their inner goddess of power, protection, love and destruction; KALI MA HipHop perseveres through any negative connotations of women in hip hop and proves to be a voice young women can look up to.
