KAMA LINDEN, Alternative/ Singer-Songwriter is a fresh, whimsical, yet abrasively gutsy lyricist. Unreservedly opinionated, her inspiration can come from anything My mind is always running, wandering, noticing. My inspiration could be a sentence, a vision, a photo, or a memory. Like the song Waiting, this idiot who would not call me why do people do the NOT CALLING thing? I'll call you, no you won't! Why not just say it is over? We've all been there. But the stories are all from my head, my insights. Not always about my life...but definitely my observations. All of my lyrics have a bite to them...we do not want to be TOO serious.
Though she considers herself to always have been a performer since childhood with a dance and musical theater background she started to write songs 6 years ago I did not ask to write songs...it was as if I was channeling lyrics and songs just kept pouring out of me. Some people need THERAPY. I write songs. Before I started performing at musical only venues, I used to take my 7 minutes at COMEDY CLUBS and do "Waiting" and "Prozac Princess". Ive been told that I am really fun and funny and make people think but feel good.
It is not really anger but insightfulness, passion, and intelligence that drive her.
Onstage, she has a dancer's presence, and eyes that will captivate you (light hazel). Not to mention an edgy yet well trained voice. She always communicates with the audience.
Her songs can be performed accoustic, full band, and there will be dance remixes of 5 songs, including DOn't Shut Me Out for the club scene....

She has performed in many respected venues such as:(nyc:)THE BITTER END, ELBOW ROOM, FEZ, and outside the NYC area: Club 218 in Philly, Music Millenium NW in Portland, Oregon, Denver area, and more in NJ. SHe also did two In-stores at FYE: Staten Island, NY and Ft Collins, CO.
