Brian Finnegan and Aidan O'Rourke, front men with possibly the two most revered bands ever to have thrilled the folk scene, Flook and Lau, join forces with Ian Stephenson and Jim Goodwin, two of the brightest stars in the world of rhythm and accompaniment to carve out a unique and daring new sound.
KAN aims to explore the relationship between the authority of traditional melody and its contemporary aspects of harmony, sonority and groove. Eschewing a wholesale fusion of celtic tunes with other genres, KAN seeks to create music that results from one complete world-influence, to honestly reflect celtic music's present-day identity.
