Kanako Omae is a songwriter/drummer based in Philadelphia.
In September, 2001, 16-year-old Kanako moved from Japan to NY to be a well-rounded musician.
She writes both lyrics and music, in style of Pop/R&B/Soul/Jazz. She has self-released her first instrumental Funk/Fusion album called "Welcome to New York" in 2004.
She has played with bands of various styles such as Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B, Blues etc., has gone on tours with blues/soul band, has played in various musicals in PA/DE theaters. She graduated from UArts in 2008 with a degree in music.
