Bio

“Well Alright” is one of the many exerts that local rap artist, K’AnDRE uses quite often when you listen to his music. Born and raised in The City of New Orleans, comes a young aspiring artist that goes by the name of K’ AnDRE. As a kid growing up in the city, K’ AnDRE was never allowed to listen to rap music. His mother had a strong dislike for the craft. As time went on and as he got older, the passion for music instantly became a part of him. As K’ AnDRE entered middle school, he started battling against other challengers but after a short period of time, he took another avenue in the rap genre. The summer before he started high school, the aspiring artist started a few freestyle sessions with some of his close friends. Soon after he got into free styling, K’AnDRE went more in depth with his music, but it suddenly had to come to a halt. August 29,2005 came the devastating storm by the name of Hurricane Katrina that forced the artist to relocate to Atlanta, Ga. and may have subliminally created a new path into his music career. After getting settled in ATL and making sure that his family was safe, K’ AnDRE never stopped thinking about the drive that he had for music. With a lot of determination to make his career in music successful, K’ AnDRE would spend hours on in at the studio but never got anything recorded. He eventually recorded his first single in 2006 but it was never titled. That didn’t stop him from moving forward. After experiencing the excitement of accomplishing his very first single, his motivation to continue his music career became stronger. As time went by, a group was formed between K’ AnDRE and a colleague in the industry that goes by the name of “Pantha” in 2008 and together created the name “P.K.” At this time K’ AnDRE went by the name “Khaos”. Hence the name K’ AnDRE. The acronym for A.n.D.R.E stands for “Another nigga Determined to Reach Excellence”. Approximately 6 months after forming the group, the album titled “Product Knowledge” was in the works. Shortly after “Product Knowledge” was released, “PK” started working on a label compilation titled “We Are The Mask” from Black Mask, Inc. On Volume One of “We Are The Mask”, K’ AnDRE made his first two tracks titled, “Reppin’” and another titled, “Fuck You” which featured his father playing the trumpet on the single. Despite the fact that she didn't have a care for rap music, his mother is right by his side and is always there to support him in his endeavors to be succesful. Still, until this day, you can find K’ AnDRE in the studio late in the midnight hour perfecting his masterpieces and making sure that they are nothing less than perfect for his listeners. "A.n.D.R.E" is just the beginning and has set a strong foundation for more to come in the near future.

Happy Listening!
