Biography

Kristina "Ka'Netic" Johnson is a member of the gospel rap group The Great Commission. She decided to join the group at the age of 16 when she wrote her first song entitled "Heaven, Not Hell". Ka'Netic was inspired to write the song after she analyzed the condition of society and concluded that she would live for Christ during her life on earth so that she will be able to ascend to Heaven with Him when He returns to Earth. After completion of "Heaven, Not Hell", she felt that God blessed her with the ability to reach out to the young and the young at heart through gospel rap. Ka'Netic's musical talents extend a little further than gospel rap. She sings in Divine Persuasion, the youth and young adult choir at Longview Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church in Memphis,TN, and is also a member of the Youth Praise Team. As a gospel rap artist, Ka'Netic hopes to encourage and inspire those who hear her lyrics to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ka'Netic is striving to excel academically while attending the University of Memphis as a Early Childhood Education major.
