My Autobiography By Franklin Smith

I was born Franklin Smith to Lynnettra and Preston Smith on December 15,1982 in Little Rock, Arkansas. We lived in Arkansas from 1982-1988. My father laid asphalt and my mother was a homemaker. My dad and I fished alot. Five years later my sister Brandy was born (1988). Not long after that my parents divorced because of infidelity on my father's part. After we moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas where some of my family is from. My mother introduced me to baseball and I fell in love with it.
Four years later when I was nine I lost my best friend Antonio. Him and his friend were playing with a gun and it went off. He was shot in the chest and died instantly. I didn't go to his funeral. I guess I was afraid. I COULDN'T SLEEP FOR MONTHS AFTER THAT. My mother felt it was time for a change so we moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1992.
When we first moved everything was ok but after awhile we had family issues. So we were forced to be homeless for a few years. Years later I met up with my cousin Birdie Pridgeon. We hung out for about one to two years until she passed away from cancer. I was very upset so to deal with pain I started writing poems to other people songs and eventually they turned into songs. I never stopped writing. Years later when I turned nineteen I felt like I was missing something. It was brotherly love. I ended up joining a gang. After I graduated high school from Project Stay Senior Institute I started gang banging, selling weed, stealing, shooting at people, getting shot at, drinking and fighting a lot. I NEVER LEFT MUSIC ALONE THOUGH. At the age 20 I recorded my first song " TAKE IT 2 DA STREETS" (the two verse version). Then I had my first child so the first thing that came to mind is I need to slow down. My homie B.A. made instrumentals. I like it so I started doing it. I sounded crappy at first but like they say practice makes perfect. Today I stay with my finace Tinisha. We have 2 children together. She had two children before me so I'm a stepfather and she's a stepmother. Its a learning experience. I still work hard on producing and selling instrumentals. I'm also working on my own album "DA INTRO 2 KANIBAL". I had to slow down on the heavy drinking and not eating right because I found out I have diabetes. I almost passed away in 2009. My influences for music were my mother, Anita Baker, Dj Quik, 2pac, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jadakiss, Alicia Keys, anybody from Deathrow Records, The Game, Big Fase 100 and many more. My goal is to let the world hear my story through music and my prospective on music and life in general. I want the whole world behind me. I won't rest until I get a record deal.
