Kanis Lu is an emcee and producer from the Georgia hardcore rap duo Cornbread Children. He got his start in hip hop around 2005 where he spent most of his time in and out of jail writing rhymes to undermine other rappers and prove his skills as a musician. He went under many different names using many different styles before he became who he is today. He did not drop his first single until 2008 under the name Wolfman titled Head Crusher. This started the first of many bits and pieces that eventually formed the aggressive style he is known for. In 2009 Kanis Lu released the first known mixtape from the Cornbread Children entitled The Mixed Up Mixtape. He is currently working with Ribbs on their long awaited album, Child Support, said to be released sometime in 2013. He also dropped his first official solo record Mouth of the Dog in 2012. In addition he has done many collaborative projects like Doape Children (Cornbread Children & Doap Nixon), Capras Lupus (Kanis Lu & The Goat), and an untitled project with Grindhouse Gang member Mark Deez said to be released in the fall of 2013. Over all Kanis Lu stands as a musician, not a rapper, not an emcee, but some someone who is driven to create.
