Biography

1986 - Dire Straits torture the fragile eardrums of young Kap10kurt with "Money for Nothing". It leaves him bruised, traumatized and musically wounded.
2003 - He finally finds the strength to fight back. His trax are a BonBon Mix of electro-technical precision and sweet synth-pop melodies. Roaring basslines, punishing drumbeats and highly processed sonic cheese are melted together into a highly tasteful audio-fondue.
2006 - The Swiss mister has proven his skills as a live performer among electronic pop acts such as DJ Shadow, Goldenboy/Miss Kittin, Waldorf, Memoryboy, Lofidelity Allstars and St. Etienne and also performed at the infamous Electroclash festival in NYC.
Kap10kurt is now a resident of NYC where he spends all of his time beat-smiting in his audio lab in East Village. His music got released on John Selways MemoryBoy record label and on the "The Sound Of Young New York" compilation. He has done work on the new Moby record and even recorded with Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode for their new record. He did Remixes for The Bravery, Tralala and Blue Man Group. Then he was picked up in a fancy Limo and flown out to Los Angeles to do a surround mix for a Rob Reiner (SpinalTap, Sleepless in Seattle) movie that will be released this winter called "Rumor has it" w/Jennifer Aniston. What else... he engineered an album for Nellie McKay (Vocalist on "Die Sleeping") which will be released in December on Columbia Records and recorded the legendary Cindy Lauper and KD Lang. Kap10kurt will be playing live again but this time featuring the skillful Maitre De Cabine on all things drums.
